About Dan

Hi, I'm Dan (he/him/his). I'm so glad that you're here! I'm a licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania. I was trained as a counseling psychologist at University of North Dakota, where I pursued my Ph.D.

I imagine that therapy isn't the first thing that you're trying in order to solve a problem. Many people reach out to me after trying lots of other ways of managing difficult feelings, relationships, or just a sense of stuckness. As we begin to work together, I want to honor all of the ways that you've worked to maintain your own safety, security, and wellbeing. Therapy begins with building a trusting foundation: a relations in which we can explore the feelings, relationships, and experiences that bring you to therapy. I often includes exploring both internal factors and external, systemic and social justice issues that influence day-to-day experiences in the world, life, and relationships.

Personally, I'm deeply passionate about creative arts: I love painting, reading, and cooking. I also love a good walk in the woods with my small, delightful dog Misha, who sometimes joins in person sessions.
